It's been a slow Alex news day or so. She's practicing her "jumping". She's very happy it's the weekend because then Jeff is here for her to cling onto - she follows him around all weekend long and throws books at him. To read.

We're all just trying to stay warm since it's so darn cold here. As soon as the heat goes off, it's freezing in the house, or at least seems to be. Anyway, that's what socks and fleecy things are for, and cats too. we always have warm laps. Well, Alex doesn't, but someday she will when she and the cats make peace with each other.

I'm hoping we'll get more snow tomorrow than they're calling for, because every day the snowsuit gets a bit shorter.

Oh, Alex has been working on saying Grammy and Pop-Pop. She's got Pop-Pop down, she just doesn't know what it means. Grammy is almost there. We probably should have pictures to use like flash cards so she can correspond the names with the faces. Auntie Lu and Adam too!

Hmm, can't tell for sure, but I think Alex may be waking up from a satisfyingly long nap, so I should wrap this up.

  1. Maybe we should learn to communicate in baby-ese. Like when I want Zekey to put on his coat, I throw it at him! I don't know, though, something doesn't seem right with that scenario...
