Daddy Crisis

Alex realized around 11 this morning that Daddy was no where to be found. She started calmly asking "Dad? Daddy? Dadoo?" and ended up crying and yanking on the front door nob, assuming that he was just on the other side and waiting to come in. She began to get frantic as I explained that he was not outside but in fact at work. When I wouldn't even open the door to look, she got really mad and start flipping out, bouncing the back of her head off the door. So, I put on a cd, gave her some apple slices, and all was forgotten. She's been fine ever since.

She's had quite an animated day, actually. Lots more talking then usual. I was sure that was impossible. I was wrong. She's also been extra bouncy/jumpy/dancey. But now she's napping, or at least suspiciously quiet in her crib which anymore I count as the same as napping. And I plan on getting something done today besides writing, so I'm going to step away from the keyboard and into the "ki-CHEN" and get some baking done before this "nap" is over.
