And Now For Someone Completely Different

Here's the latest addition to the family, Gabriel Steven. Showing us a face we hope to not see too terribly often - the same pouty face his Daddy makes when there's no chocolate cake. I suspect Gabe was also thinking about the lack of chocolate cake at this particular moment. Poor little guy will just have to settle for milk for a while.

In a more serene moment, Gabey rests in Daddy's arms without the pouty face. Note the hands escaping from the swaddling blanket. He got that move from his sister. Let's hope she doesn't teach him too many fancy tricks, or we'll really be in double trouble.
We're happy to report that Gabriel likes nothing better than sleeping, at least during the day. He prefers a bottle feeding when he's hungry, and seems to tolerate the formula, so perhaps we've dodged the allergy bullet. Knock on wood. His feet are crazy crooked, but not in any unhealthy way. He's got long fingers - a future violinist, pianist, organist, guitarist? Well, we'll wait and see. He appears to have his Grampy's/Auntie Lu's nose. Sorry kid, but you'll make it work. ;) He also appears to have gotten his crying skills from Tippy. We'll take fake kitten mews to ear-splitting screams any time. Oh, and he's got a head full of hair. Longer than Daddy's, actually. And he's every bit as cute as Daddy too. :D

Sleepy-Time Reading

I missed a few shots of her really nodding off, but this was pretty good. It's a rare thing when she actually lets her tired show in the traditional sleepy-eyed way. Usually she just gets crazy.

Longwood on A Summery Spring Day

Alex has her finger out to give the bumblebee a place to land. The bee is unimpressed.

Smelling the tulips, obviously. This was before she picked the tulips further along the path. Which was just before she suffered needlessly through a time out in the stroller.

Alex walking carefully toward the hyacinths with two magnolia petals in her hands.

Alex talking incessantly about something while gathering flower petals.

Alex on her way to one of the treehouses.

Easter Pics - Not Quite a Week Later

Grampy wrestles with the camera while Alex hunts for eggs.

Daddy takes protective measures while napping. Small dogs and small children can be dangerous.

The ladies and Otto are blinded by the sun in the name of a photo op.

"How do I look? Good."

Not sure if there are eggs in her basket, but Otto looks interested, so
there probably are.
